Korean-Swiss Cooperative Programme in Science and Technology

The Swiss State Secretariat for Education and Research (SER) is funding the Korean-Swiss Cooperation with CHF 300'000. Based on an action plan signed on June 16, 2009 between the Korean Ministry of Education, Science and Technology (MEST) and SER, the two partners have thus agreed to establish a new scheme for funding to facilitate the exchange between researchers of the two countries. In their second joint committee meeting in May 2011, the partners decided to turn the programme from seed funding into support of joint research projects. The scheme will now enable the support of 6 projects with a maximal sum of CHF 50'000 for one year. A comparable sum is provided by MEST in Korea to support the Korean side of cooperative projects.
