Agreements with partner institutions

Research and teaching collaboration at ETH Zurich is carried out on the level of individual professors. Most collaborations with partner institutions can be arranged informally.

The bilateral agreements (Memorandum of Understanding, MoU) describe the broad range of interaction between ETH Zurich and the respective partner institutions. The agreements focus on research collaboration, exchange of information, and faculty and student exchange.

Within the Erasmus programme ETH Zurich maintains student exchange with a large number of European partner universities. In addition, bilateral exchange agreements support exchange with institutions outside Europe. For details on active student exchange programs, see the website of the Student Exchange Office.
